What Weight Is Considered Heavy?

Weight that is higher than what is considered healthy for a given height is described as overweight. Body Mass Index (BMI) is a tool for screen overweight and obesity. BMI is a person’s weight in kilograms divided by the square of height in meters. A high BMI can indicate body fatness, if you have a BMI that is less than 18.5, it means you fall within the range of an underweight.

If your BMI is 18.5 < 25, it means you fall within the range of a healthy weight individual. If your BMI is 25.0 < 30, it means you fall in the range of an overweight. And if your BMI is 30 or above, it means you fall in the category of obesity.

Jon born on the 29th of September 1941 was an American man and recorded the heaviest person ever in the human history weighing about 1400 Ib. he was obese since childhood, he weighed 800 – 900 Ib during his adult years, he owned a taxi company and worked as a driver around his home in Bainbridge Island, Washington. In his attempt to lose weight, Jon went on a 2500 KJ per day diet under a doctor’s order, he became bedridden for about three weeks before he finally agreed to go to hospital.

He was diagnosed with a massive edema. His physicians placed him on 1,200 kcal per day diet in which after about two years in the hospital he lost over 900 Ib which is still recorded as the largest human weight loss at a time. Jon left the hospital and regained much of the weight and died in September 4th, 1983 weighing 800 Ib. his casket took up two burial spots at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Seattle.

He was 22 when he was declared the fattest man alive with a BMI of 204.

He was ordered by the king to undergo a series of dietary and physical programs to help him lose weight and the cause of this he was able to walk for the first time using a walker in 5 years. Now he weighs 150 Ib and in January 2018, he had his last surgeries to remove excess skin.

The 39-year-old Mexican was once the world’s fattest man alive in the Guinness books of record way back in 2016. He was so bed bound he required close to eight people to sit him up or even move him, but after being taken to a weight loss clinic in which he started his weight loss journey he has now lost his title after losing 728 pounds.

Four hamburgers, four double cheeseburgers and five large portions of fries for lunch and three large ham steaks or two chickens, four baked potatoes, four sweet potatoes, four heads of broccoli and most part of a large cake for dinner. He died of a heart attack at his home at age 47. He weighed 1025 Ib at the time of his death, a hole in his bedroom wall had to be made in order to remove his body from the premises.

Francis John Lang is also known as Michael Walker reached a maximum weight of 1,187 Ib. he weighed only about 150 Ib as a soldier in Korea. He lamed his massive weight gain on prescription drug abuse saying that he got an uncontrolled appetite due to his narcotics of choice.

She died at the age of 37 on the 25th of September 2017 due to complications from underlying comorbid conditions including heart disease and kidney dysfunction.

Michael John Hebranko Jr. was an American man who suffered from an extreme case of morbid obesity, he was one of the heaviest men in the world peaking at about 1100 Ib. After his stay in the St. Luke’s hospital in New York city he dropped his weight from 906 Ib to 200 Ib in 19 months, he was recorded for the highest recorded weight loss in 1990. Over the next seven years, his weight increased to 999 Ib before he peaked at 1100 Ib. He was born on the 14th of May 1953 and died on the 25th of July 2013 due to Morbid Obesity.
